Bhavnisha Parmar

Born in Birmingham, West Midlands, Bhavnisha Parmar studied acting at
both the University of Leeds and the Arts Educational School. She
appeared in several short films while also establishing her credentials
as a voice artist, including on a number of promotional campaigns.
Parmar's television debut came in 2014, on an episode of Darren Has A
Breakdown. She also appeared in the telefilm Guilty Pleasures
before she was cast as Sonya, sister to Doctor Who companion
Yasmin Khan. Parmar appeared in five stories throughout Jodie
Whittaker's tenure as the Thirteenth Doctor, initially in 2018's Arachnids In The UK and latterly
in the third installment of 2021's epic-length Flux. She maintained her
connection with Doctor Who by taking roles in audio dramas from
Big Finish Productions, the first of which was rogue Time Agent Keira
Sanstrom in the 2021 anthology Timejacked!, featuring the Twelfth
Doctor.
