Briony Redman began her career during the 2010s, working not only as a comedian, but also as a writer and an actor for various short films. Amongst the latter was 2017's Smear, which she co-scripted with Kate Herron. The same year, Redman won her first role on the small screen, appearing in the telefilm Snowflakes. She and Herron would maintain their writing partnership, contributing a story to the 2022 comic book anthology Skybound Presents Afterschool. More recently, they collaborated on Rogue, a 2024 adventure for Ncuti Gatwa as the Fifteenth Doctor.
