Lesley Scott
Episodes Broadcast: 1966
Little is known of the life of Lesley Scott. In the mid-Sixties, she was
either the wife or the lover of writer Paul Erickson. For reasons that
Erickson subsequently refused to divulge, he asked that Scott be
credited as the co-writer of his 1966 Doctor Who serial, The Ark, even though it seems
certain that she did not contribute to the scripts. As such, she became
the first woman to receive a writing credit on Doctor Who. Scott
has no other known contributions to television or film.
