"I've seen the Monk drop his habit a few times too many," says Bernice. "Plus I'm a bit nervous he might get me and Ben mixed up... this is one time I regret my nickname!"
"She twists her ankle far too often," Leela mutters as she votes for Susan. "And her legs are hideous enough now to begin with."
"I'm worried that the Rani might forge an alliance with the other Gallifreyans," admits Peri.
When all the ballots are cast, Jeff announces "I'll go tally the votes." He leaves and returns momentarily with the ornate cask into which they all deposited their choices.
"First vote... Susan.
"Second vote... Monk."
"Third vote... Monk.
"Fourth vote... Susan. That's two votes each for the Monk and Susan.
"Fifth vote... the Rani. "Sixth vote... Susan. Susan, bring me your torch."
Jeff snuffs out Susan's torch. "The tribe has spoken. It's time to go."
With a sad smile back at her former tribemates, Susan begins to walk toward the transmat platform, trips over Jeff and twists her right ankle, begs off his aid, scrambles to her feet, starts again, hooks her shoe in the dirt, twists her left ankle, and has to be carried the rest of the way to the platform.
"I really don't have anything bad to say about anyone, everyone was really great and I'm glad I had the chance to meet so many interesting people. As for the people still left in the Death Zone, all I can say is, just go forward in all your beliefs and I shall go forw--"
Susan suddenly disappears from the frame with a loud snap
"Ow, so that's what happens to your ankles after being sprained four thousand times."
